How to adjust your new prong collar
We know you don't settle on quality, and neither do we—which is why we only use the highest quality prong collars. Okay, we’ve made a few “improvements”, but we think you will like the changes. Just in case your collar doesn’t fit your dog, these are the instructions for adding or removing prongs in your collar.

Just in case your collar doesn’t fit your dog, these are the instructions for adding or removing prongs in your collar.

Step 1 - Locate the adjustable Chicago screw

Step 2 - Remove the screw. Don’t lose it!

Step 3 - Remove the leather from the flat connector on the collar.

Step 4 - Unhook the prong from the flat connector on the collar.

Step 5 - Back the leather out of a few of the links and add or remove the necessary prongs for a perfect fit.

Step 6 - Reassemble the collar and reweave the leather so that it comes “up” through the final prong as shown.**

Step 7 - Put the end of the leather through the hole on the flat connector.

Step 8 - Reassemble the chicago screw in the best fitting holes. Punch a new hole if necessary.

Your collar is now ready to use!
** Step 6—You may need to reweave the leather from the side release buckle. Ideally, the leather should come up through the final prong, but this is not necessary for the collar to work properly, it just seems to allow the leather to fit more snuggly through the flat connector on the collar.
Please note:
Occasionally, when the collar is off of your dog, the figure 8 hooks attached to the side release buckle may become “sideways” on the buckle. This is normal, just wiggle the hooks around, and they will fall back into place.
Also, as Chicago screws can work themselves loose, please check them periodically to make sure they remain tight. After fitting any “adjustable” collar to your dog, we recommend putting a drop of Loctite threadlocker in the Chicago screw. Loctite can be purchased at most hardware stores and can normally be found in the same area as the super glue - just make sure that you use the removable (blue) type in case you need to resize the collar at a later time.
Should you need replacement Chicago screws in the future, these can be purchased separately.
