Due to the limitations of hole sizes, every bead may not fit all sizes of leads. As a standard, most beads will fit 4-strand leads (unless the holes are too large) and many beads will fit 6 and 8strand leads. Also, don't forget, you can use braided buttons on ANY size lead!
We try to use only quality beads - including wood, bone, pewter and silver. Some beads, primarily the colored ones, are plastic. However, these are top quality jewelry style beads, not cheap pony beads. There are some very pretty lampwork glass beads, but please think twice before throwing these leads onto the steward's table or the floor. We use these on a lot of show leads and have never had one break, but we always exercise a little extra caution. Please take care with your lead, as any bead can be broken if not cared for properly.
